In my mind, the most important is to pay attention to our diet, as a proper diet is one of the keys to recovery from dental implant surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Foods We Can’t Eat After Surgery?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After surgery,\nyou’ll need to avoid eating hot and spicy foods because they will irritate the\nincision site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You also need to\navoid consuming alcohol. If you consume alcohol, you may delay the healing process\nbecause alcohol has a tendency to increase pain and swelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You need to\navoid eating chewy or sticky foods as these foods can cause discomfort because\nthey require a lot of chewing. In addition, foods such as popcorn, chips, nuts,\ncrackers and candies should be avoided. Small pieces of these foods may get\nstuck in the incision area, which may cause an infection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which Foods Should We Eat After Surgery?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applesauce is a\ngood food to eat after surgery because of its texture. It is also rich in\nvitamin C and dietary fiber. In addition, eating applesauce does not require a\nlot of jaw movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Broth-based soup\nis another great food to eat after dental implant surgery. The soup should be\nwarm, not hot. Broth-based soups are an important source of protein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mashed potatoes\nare soft with high in fiber. You can add cheese, gravy and butter to the mashed\npotatoes to add flavor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yogurt is a good\nchoice if you are craving something sweet. But please avoid yogurt with nuts\nand candies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instant oatmeal\ncan be consumed a few days after surgery. You need to wait a few days to eat\noatmeal because oatmeal will irritate your gums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
